Jay Jay & Tae Kwondo

Date:  May 13, 2012

Kay Kay some how likes Kung Fu Panda.  He sometimes will make "Hu Hu Hu" sound while his fist and legs are in actions similar to the Kung Fu Panda.  So, one fine Sunday, after Jay's violin class, we brought the two boys to Millenium Walk.  And there, we heard the "Hu Hu Hu" sound.  So, since JH Kim offered trial class, so, we decided to let Jay & Kay to try out.

Unfortunately, after watching the "Hu Hu Hu"... Kay Kay decided to RUN AWAY, and looks like he dislike Tae Kwondo.  He refused to go to the trial out session.  But Jay Jay somehow felt interest about it.

So, a young black belt chap give the introduction trial out for Jay Jay.  He is a funny guy, and he has his way to make the kid likes him.

Some how we can sense that Jay Jay felt in love with this sport.

They way how he twist his hip and kick, the black belt youngster actually said, he is quite good for a beginner.  Most people does not know how to twist the hip when kick, but Jay got a talent.

So, we saw Jay having fun for 30 minutes.

I used to take 1 year of Tae Kwondo training when I was 11 years old.  And Jay is only 6, as long as he likes it, we will let him try.

But I have to from time to time teach him....

1.  Tae Kwondo is for health, improve stamina.

2.  Tae Kwondo is not for fighting.

3.  If I see him using Tae Kwondo to beat other boys, I will use rottan to can his legs.

4.  Must bow to master.

I hope Jay Jay can learn the martial art way of Tae Kwondo.  Let's see how he is doing after few weeks.  But I saw the way how he sweat, wow, that is a lot of work out.  And I am pretty sure, this will give him enough exercise for the week to become fit.  Let's see how it goes.
