Jay & Lego

Date:  Dec 17, 2011

Jay Jay has grown up.  Now, his little mind can handle the "real" Legos.  Well, I don't consider the Duplo as Legos.  Those big big Lego blocks is just not Lego.  It is for 2-5 years old.  Jay does have lots of Duplos.

Look, I build a small PC.

This is Jay's first set of "real" Lego.  It is a Space rocket with rocket launcher base, and a satellite.  It also have a truck that holds the Computer too.

With this Rocket, I am able to demonstrate to Jay how the rocket ship blast off from surface, and then break into few pieces to have more rocket thrust and then how it sent the satellite to the space, and the satellite how it circle the earth and provides communications.  I used Jay's big haed as the Earth.

Look PaPa, Space Rocket!

And Let me introduce you to Jay's Lego Station.  This is a bedside table.  The reason is to let Jay have a queit work space to build his lego.  Got good lightings, and he can sit here for an hour or so, just to build his lego.

Oh ya, it is also the first time, he has to look at these instruction manual pages and follow the instructions to build the Legos.

Of course, Kay Kay can only see here.  He cannot touch.  He is not allowed to touch.

In building yje Legos, Jay have shown extraordinary Patience, details in thinking, and focus.  So, in order to encourage this good behavior, I bought few more boxes of the same City series for him.

And each box he opened, he spent at least 30 minutes to 1 hour to build it.  This is a very good sign, and I am glad Jay Jay has slowly develop such focusing skill.
