Another Visit to Science Centre (2011)

Date:  Nov 21, 2011

Usually, after their Lorna Whiston Concert, the teacher will take the following Monday off to go some where exotic to relax.  So, the parent will have to take leave and look after the kids on that day.

So, I brought Jay & Kay to Science Centre.

Jay and Kay are very scared of the dinosaur.  Especially the one that can fly.  They keep turning their head back and trying to figure where does the "sounds" come out from.

I think this could be their 3-5 visit to the Science Centre.  But each time, you can see how your kids' knowledge outgrew your expectation.

Kay likes to push button and watch it spin.

IMG_1077.jpg

What a wonderful design.  You sit there, and the mirror simply added a hat, and a mustage on it.

IMG_1080.JPG

Ahhhh.... It is me, my head on the fruit plate.  (So says Kay)

IMG_1081.JPG

Looks nice and cute.

IMG_1087.JPG

Ok.  It's my turn.  Wait, who is taking this picture?  You got to be glad when your kid is old enough to handle the camera and iPhone to take photos.

IMG_1085.JPG

Always amaze with the tornado.

Things that generate sounds!

IMG_1090.jpg

This aparatus generate wave patterns.

The metalic grass dance with different tempo from the music.

IMG_1094.jpg

The studio is poor, so, they found 4 kids to help them do the sound effect.  This is taken from the sound effect room.  Hey, Jay Jay's class mates Wardan Tan is here too.

IMG_1097.jpg

So, you look at the silent movie, and try to create sounds for the silent movie.  It is fun!

Another sounds experiment!

Dry ice + water = galaxy milky way

Both Jay & Jay drawing their butterfly.

IMG_1106.jpg

This is Kay's butterfly.

IMG_1107.jpg

Jay:  This is mine.

IMG_1110.jpg

Do you like Kay's butterfly?

IMG_1113.jpg

I think mine is better!

IMG_1114.jpg

The kids always love to follow the steel balls.

IMG_1115.jpg

Kay certainly loves the knob to turn turn turn!

IMG_1116.jpg

His eyes are very sharp and can follow the ball up and down.

IMG_1118.jpg

Jay Jay also love this station.  They can spent 30 minutes, and you simply can rest and relax for a while.

IMG_1120.jpg

The caligraphy master is in work again!

IMG_1123.jpg

HaHaHa... so many Jay and Kay...

IMG_1124.jpg

How about that?  Playing the spinning plate.

IMG_1125.JPG

I can do it too.

IMG_1128.jpg

No.  I said, I can do TWO!

IMG_1130.jpg

Opssss.... going to fall, going to fall...

IMG_1129.jpg

Exiting, we visit the store.  And I was shocked to see this... S$44 for this toy.

IMG_1134.jpg

And this 6 in 1 too... S$42

It was a fun day for Daddy and the two kids.

Everytime when you go to Science Centre, remember to observe your kids. Look at what they are focusing on.  It is easy to find out what is their interest.  And whether or not they will become a science student or not.  :)  Also, every time, they become mature and ask more complicated questions too!
