Happy 5th Birthday to Jay Jay!

Date: Oct 8, 2011

Today's is Jay Jay's Birthday.  Let's go to his favorite restaurant to celebrate!  The Fish Market Bistro @ Greenwood Avenue.

Of course, we made reservation already.  That's is why we can ask for sitting at Table #3 at the old wing (at the Fish Market side).  This is where they also sell live and fresh seafood to other consumers.

The snapper and the fishes looks nice. May be we shall have a fish and chips too tonight!

Definitely, the Oysters.  One of Jay Jay's favorite.  They do not have Barren Point today, so, we settled with Mary Point.  Slightly smaller, and we order a dozen of it.

This is table #3 @ the old wing.  Nice cosy sofa, and the settings is just nice!  The ambience is good too.

Okay, once we settled in, let's take a family photo.

Bringing kids to restaurant, can sometimes to be challenging.  Make sure you bring all the necessary toys for them to play.

They love toys!  Look at the big smile on their face!

The ambience at the old wing is just wonderful.

IMG_1920.JPG

I love the lighting there.

IMG_1921.JPG

Here comes the food.  Seafood Chowder.  Jay Jay just love the mussles and clams inside.

IMG_1924.jpg

The mushroom soup is just fine!

IMG_1926.jpg

The juicy live mussles.  Mary Point mussles.  Yummy indeed.

IMG_1928.JPG

I specially ordered a bake oysters for my domestic helper who does not eat raw oysters or fish.

IMG_1929.jpg

Of course, how can we forgot about the white wine mussles.

IMG_1930.jpg

With Mr. Ahmad's help, he recommended a Chablis Premium Cru from France.  The taste is quite refleshing, unoaked, less acidity, a bit fruity and sweet!  It is very good wine to go with our food.

IMG_1935.jpg

Not bad for the bring home price.  $25 corkage charge.

IMG_1922.jpg

The Fish & Chips.  For Jay Jay!

Its time for the birthday cake.  Happy Birthday to Jay Jay.  The cake is from The Awfully Chocalate.

And we brought his present there for Jay Jay to open too.  By the way, I usually will make Jay Jay to wrap his own presents.  This is to teach him how to learn to appreciate gift wrapping.  :)  However, there is this mysterious third present that he has no knowledge about (because is an extra gift given by mommy!).

IMG_1992.jpg

OK.  One I know is Tokyo tower.

IMG_1995.jpg

And the mysterious present from Mommy.  A Car Car shampoo.  Huh?  Shampoo that bottled in a Car Car bottle.

IMG_1997.jpg

OK.  some one getting very comfortable here.  Once again, happy birthday Jay!
